We wanted to thank you all for your participation in Animal Advocacy / Défense Animale’s events this past university year. We are already planning activities for the year to come!
Voici un bilan de toutes nos activités de cette dernière année:
En Octobre 2020, nous avons tenu un Meet & Greet afin d’offrir une place où les étudiant.e.s intérésé.e.s par la cause animale pouvaient se rencontrer.
In November, we announced our Animal & Environmental Law Student Conference, and launched our call for proposals.
In January 2021, we hosted an “Introduction to Animal Law” session. It was given as part of first-year McGill law students’ integration week, and we were delighted to have been invited to give an introductory lecture on animal law.
Notre Conférence sur la loi animale et environnementale a pris place le 22 et 23 Janvier 2021. Elle était composée de présentations étudiantes et de présentations de conférencier.e.s invité.e.s. Les conférencier.e.s invité.e.s ont donné des présentations stimulantes, et nous avions été ravies par l’enthousiasme et la dédication des participant.e.s. étudiant.e.s.
In March, we supported an important initiative by the Herbivore Society for Peace and Justice promoting the adoption of a DefaultVeg plan at McGill University. This would involve the University transitioning to plant-based menus while providing the possibility to opt-in to animal food products.
En Avril, nous avons été interviewée par le Délit pour leur article sur des clubs mcgillois se dédiant à la justice animale.
We also informed our members of animal-rights-related activities hosted by other organizations, and provided information to those who asked us about how to help an animal in distress.
